Stretch therapy is the umbrella term for professional, hands-on stretching. It combines assisted stretching (you lie down, therapist guides) and PNF (contract-relax to unlock deeper range). It's not yoga, not massage — it's targeted, science-backed mobility work. And it's fully mobile — mobile stretch therapy and in-home assisted stretching in Calgary, delivered to your home or office. No commute, no waiting rooms.

Stretch therapy is an umbrella term for professional, hands-on stretching techniques performed by a trained stretch therapist. At YYC Mobility Care it includes assisted stretching (the therapist moves your body through stretches for you) and PNF stretching (a contract-relax technique that unlocks deeper range of motion by working with your nervous system).
Massage focuses on soft tissue manipulation — working directly on muscles. Stretch therapy focuses on range of motion and how your body moves — guiding joints and muscles through movement patterns to improve flexibility and reduce tightness. The two complement each other but serve different purposes.
Sessions begin with a brief movement assessment to identify where you're holding tension. Your therapist then guides you through a combination of assisted stretching and PNF stretching techniques, targeting the areas most restricted. Sessions close with simple at-home maintenance tips to keep you progressing.
Stretch therapy is ideal for office and desk workers with a tight neck, sore shoulders, or stiff lower back; athletes looking for post-workout recovery; seniors maintaining hip, knee, and ankle mobility; and anyone dealing with stubborn tightness that hasn't responded to solo stretching.
Many clients feel noticeably looser immediately after their first session. Lasting flexibility and mobility improvements typically build over 3–6 sessions as your body adapts and begins holding its new range of motion between appointments.
